Policies

All fees are due at the time of service. Payments are generally billed to your credit card, debit card, or HSA card via the practice’s secure Square portal, unless other arrangements are made (such as pre-payment via cash or check for a block of multiple sessions).

Please note that presently, we participate as an in-network provider with CDPHP and traditional Medicare (managed Medicare plans excluded).

We are an out-of-network provider with all other insurance companies. Although Cogito Speech Therapy does not directly bill your insurance company, we can provide documentation that you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. It is suggested that you contact your insurance company to determine whether your plan covers speech therapy services, which ICD- 10/PCT codes are accepted/excluded, and inquire about your plan’s medical necessity policy as related to speech services.

For preschool-age clients, please be aware that we contract with both Albany and Rensselaer Counties as a provider of CPSE speech therapy for qualified students.

24 hours notice is required for cancellation; otherwise you will be charged the full session rate. As consistent attendance is necessary for progress, three cancellations or no-shows may lead to discharge from speech therapy.
